Erie BayHawks Complete Multi-Team Trade

Erie, PA – The Erie BayHawks, NBA G League affiliate of the Atlanta Hawks Basketball Club, completed a multi-team trade with the Greensboro Swarm and Northern Arizona Suns, the team announced today.

Erie will receive Greensboro’s 2018 first round draft pick, originally owned by the Wisconsin Herd. Greensboro will receive forward Roscoe Smith from Erie, Northern Arizona’s 2018 first round pick, originally owned by the Delaware 87ers, and Northern Arizona’s 2018 second round pick, originally owned by the Windy City Bulls. This trade is subject to Roscoe Smith passing his physical.

Smith (6-8, 205), had appeared in 14 games for the BayHawks this season, averaging 13.9 points on .539 (76-141) shooting from the floor and 4.9 rebounds in 20.7 minutes. He was acquired by Erie via a trade with the Delaware 87ers on November 3, 2017, in exchange for Luke Harangody’s returning player rights.

Up next for the BayHawks is the 2018 NBA G League Showcase. Erie will face the Northern Arizona Suns on Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. and the Rio Grande Valley Vipers on Friday at 8:30 p.m. Friday’s game against the Vipers will be broadcasted on ESPNU.
