ERIE, PA – The Erie BayHawks, NBA G League affiliate of the Atlanta Hawks Basketball Club, are sponsoring a supply drive for the Boys & Girls Club of Erie County to collect items that are of most need for the club and its members.  Items such as sporting goods, school and art supplies can be donated at the BayHawks offices, 110 East 8th Street, Monday-Friday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. from now until June 15.

For each item donated valued at $5.00 or more, donors will receive a free Sara’s ice cream cone coupon and be registered to win a BayHawks prize pack valued at over $300 that includes team apparel, autographed basketball, tickets and more.

“The Boys and Girls Club provides vital resources to children in our community with so many great programs and activities to help kids reach their full potential.  This campaign is aimed at helping defer some costs for the Club as they prepare for a busy summer,” said BayHawks team president Matt Bresee.  “Donate to help a great organization in our community and get free ice cream from Sara’s – it’s an absolute slam dunk!”

The collection and fundraising effort is part of the Boys & Girls Club annual “Kiss a Pig” campaign in which area leaders raise funds to support the Club. Those raising the most funds are to kiss a pot belly pig at the conclusion of the campaign. Bresee is a “Kiss a Pig” candidate.
