Erie, PA (January 4) – The Erie BayHawks are pleased to announce Mentorship Month in partnership with Big Brothers Big Sisters. Mentorship Month will feature BayHawks’ game activation’s to promote the positive impact of mentorship on Erie’s youth and share mentorship opportunities for adults and children throughout Erie County.
The BayHawks players will take the court against the Long Island Nets on Mentorship Night on January 7th (7:00 PM ET tip-off). The initiative is in connection to National Mentoring Month and the NBA’s efforts to support the national foundation My Brother’s Keeper.
Big Brothers Big Sisters ‘Bigs’ and ‘Littles’ will be in attendance to enjoy the game, while Family Services of NWPA (parent organization of Big Brothers Big Sisters) will be available to share information on how fans can become mentors in their community. Additionally, Big Brothers Big Sisters will be sharing information on mentorship opportunities all month long, with their goal of helping grow their mentor membership.
