Anthony Brown Returns to BayHawks

Erie, PA (February 2) – Guard Anthony Brown has returned to the Erie BayHawks, the team announced today. In a separate move, the BayHawks have acquired forward Paris Bass from the available player pool.

Brown returns to the BayHawks after signing a 10-day contract with the Orlando Magic on January 21st. In 16 previous games with the BayHawks, all starts, Brown averaged 21.6 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 3.4 assists. Erie drafted Brown first overall in this year’s NBA D-League Draft.

Bass (6-8, 200) spent last season with Detroit Mercy University of the NCAA Division I Horizon League. In his first two seasons with the school, Bass was named the All-Horizon League Player of the Year. In 24 games as a sophomore last season, he averaged 18.4 points and 8.0 rebounds-per-game. He played in three preseason games with Arkadia Traiskirchen Lions of the Österreichische Basketball Bundesliga in Austria earlier this season.

The BayHawks return to Erie Insurance Arena on Saturday for Project: FIT night presented by Erie County Department of Health. The team will be taking the court in specialty health-themed jerseys with the nationally known Amazing Sladek performing at half.
