BayHawks Complete Trade with Warriors

Erie, PA – The Erie BayHawks, NBA G League affiliate of the Atlanta Hawks Basketball Club, has completed a trade with the Santa Cruz Warriors, the team announced today. Erie will send the returning player rights of Beau Beech and a second-round pick in the 2019 NBA G League Draft to Santa Cruz, in exchange for forward Terrence Jones and a fourth-round pick in the 2019 NBA G League Draft. This trade is subject to Terrence Jones reporting by Nov. 1 and passing a physical by 5 p.m. ET on Nov. 2.
Jones was acquired by the Warriors on Dec. 18, 2017. He appeared in 16 games (nine starts) for Santa Cruz, averaging 19.4 points, 7.3 rebounds, 4.3 assists, 1.1 steals and 1.3 blocks in 29.8 minutes of action (.532 FG%, .372 3FG%, .525 FT%). His 19.4 points per game were second-most on the Warriors, trailing only Quinn Cook (25.3 ppg., min. 15 games played). Jones was one of only 13 players selected to compete in the first-ever NBA G League International Challenge at the 2018 NBA All-Star Weekend.
Prior to his time in Santa Cruz, the 6-9 forward saw action in nine games (four starts) for the Qingdao Double Star Eagles of the Chinese Basketball Association, notching 22.3 points, 11.2 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 1.2 steals and 2.3 blocks in 31.9 minutes (.461 FG%, .333 3FG%, .603 FT%).
A native of Portland, Oregon, Jones was drafted with the 18th overall pick in the 2012 NBA Draft by the Houston Rockets. In six NBA seasons, he’s suited up for the Rockets, New Orleans Pelicans and Milwaukee Bucks. Jones has appeared in 232 NBA regular season games (118 starts), owning career averages of 10.5 points, 5.7 rebounds and 1.2 blocks in 24.0 minutes (.501 FG%, .299 3FG%, .622 FG%). Throughout the 2012-13 season, while with the Rockets, Jones was assigned to the Rio Grande Valley Vipers, seeing action in 24 games (15 starts), registering 19.0 points, 9.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 1.5 steals and 1.3 blocks in 30.9 minutes (.479 FG%, .297 3FG%, .694 FT%).
Beech, selected by Erie in the 2017 NBA G League Expansion Draft, appeared in 20 games for the BayHawks (two starts), tallying 5.9 points, 2.9 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 18.4 minutes (.369 FG%, .356 3FG%, .786 FT%).
