Pelicans Transfer Zylan Cheatham & Josh Gray to the Erie BayHawks

ERIE, PA – The New Orleans Pelicans announced today they have transferred two-way players Zylan Cheatham and Josh Gray to the Erie BayHawks.

Cheatham (6-8, 220) appeared in two games for the Pelicans following his transfer from Erie on Nov. 16. The Phoenix, Ariz. native logged his first-career NBA minutes against the Miami Heat that same night, finishing the contest with two points, three rebounds and one assist in 14 minutes. Cheatham is currently second in the G League in rebounds per game (16.0).

Gray (6-1, 170) also saw action in two games with New Orleans after his transfer from Erie on Nov. 9. Playing in back-to-back games with the Pelicans on Nov. 16 and 17, Gray totaled two points, two rebounds and two assists in 23 minutes of action. Gray started in the BayHawks season opener against College Park on Nov. 8, where he notched a game-high 28 points, seven assists and six rebounds in 36 minutes.

Erie takes on the Canton Charge tonight at 7 p.m. to finish a three-game road trip. Following tonight’s contest, the BayHawks head home for another weekend home stand, facing the Capital City Go-Go on Friday (Nov. 22) and the Raptors 905 on Saturday (Nov. 23).
